Ericka is a native of Los Angeles, California who was raised in the Black Panther Party in Oakland and grew up in Beverly Hills. Current projects include releasing her autobiography, Black Panther Princess, developing scripts for broadcast and creating a documentary about America’s first Black film producer, Emmett J. Scott (her great-grandfather). Ericka is a public speaker who discusses her sobriety from cocaine, surviving sexual assault and being a daughter of the Black Panther Party.
